It also displays an underlying concept that many children are capable of acheiving personal skills that many adults are incapable of; that is the ability to make decisions and stick to them, the ability to lead a group, the ability to take care of themselves, and the ability to problem solve within a group. This concept, that many children depend on their parents for economic support more than emotional support is an edgy one and one that forces veiwers to redefine their mental image of the "child.
